\n\tDepuis quelques jours la nouvelle version du site de Mari et Håkon Samulesen est en ligne. Un onglet est spécialement dédié à James Horner. Nous y apprenons que la première mondiale du Double Concerto écrit par le compositeur aura lieu en novembre 2014 lors du 175ème anniversaire de l'orchestre philharmonique royal de Liverpool.<\/span>\n<\/div>\n

\n\tNous pouvons également y lire quelques propos de James Horner datant de 2011 :<\/span>\n<\/div>\n

\n\t\tJ’ai pensé que ce serait un défi intéressant pour le compositeur que je suis d’écrire un concerto pour violon et violoncelle. Je me suis senti vraiment honoré que Mari et Hakon, deux musiciens d’un si grand calibre musical, me demandent d’écrire cette œuvre pour eux. Toute la musique que j’écris est toujours faite pour le cinéma. L’opportunité d’écrire une œuvre pour Hakon et Mari et de la voir interprétée en live de nombreuses fois était tout simplement trop belle pour être refusée. Bien que cela soit un brin intimidant d’écrire un nouveau double concerto après que Brahms eut écrit le sien, devenu célèbre il y a tant d’années, je suis impatient de relever ce challenge et de constater le merveilleux résultat que cela va donner.<\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n
