\n\tEn plus d'être des musiciens charmants et talentueux, Hakon et Mari Samuelsen sont également accessibles et généreux. En effet ils n'ont pas hésité un instant à partager avec nous la genèse de Pas de Deux<\/strong>, le Double Concerto pour violon et violoncelle composé par James Horner dont les premières mondiales sont prévues les 13 et 14 novembre 2014. C'est un réel plaisir de publier leurs propos sur le processus créatif de cet événement musical majeur.<\/span>\n<\/div>\n
\n\t \n<\/div>\n
\n\tNous avons appris l'écriture par James Horner d'un Double Concerto pour violon et violoncelle en 2012. Les propos du compositeur sur votre site date de 2011. <\/span><\/strong>C'est donc un long projet qui s'étale sur plusieurs années. Comment tout a commencé?<\/span><\/strong>\n<\/div>\n
\n\tTout <\/span><\/span>\"\"<\/span><\/span>a commencé avec un rêve. Nous rêvions qu'un grand compositeur nous écrive un concerto pour violon et violoncelle avec orchestre. C'était en 2010 et nous imaginions trouver un compositeur avec un univers musical très tonale et mélodique. Le réalisateur norvégien Harald Zwart nous a dit qu'il pouvait nous présenter à James Horner car ils avaient récemment travaillé ensemble sur Karate Kid<\/strong>. Nous étions surpris et très excités. Nous n'arrivions pas à croire ce qui se passait.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/div>\n
\n\t \n<\/div>\n
\n\tComment s'est déroulé votre première rencontre avec lui ?<\/span><\/strong>\n<\/div>\n
\n\tNous avons d'abord rencontré James Horner en février 2011 à la résidence de Harald Zwart à Santa Monica, Los Angeles. Lui et sa femme avaient organisé un concert privé pour nous. James Horner a été invité, mais personne n'était vraiment sûr qu'il viendrait. Après une longue attente, un homme très sympathique est venu et c'était James Horner ! Nous avons dû prolonger le concert, et rejouer quelques pièces, car nous voulions qu'il entende une grande variété de notre programme et notre style de jeu. Ensuite nous sommes allés vers lui et sans détour nous lui avons simplement demandé s'il imaginait pouvoir écrire quelque chose pour nous. Il a dit oui !<\/span><\/span>\n<\/div>\n
\n\t \n<\/div>\n
\n\tPouvez-vous nous parler du Double Concerto ? Sa durée, l'esprit général qui s'en dégage ?<\/span><\/strong>\n<\/div>\n
\n\tPas de Deux<\/strong> est le nom du concerto. Il est en deux parties et sa durée est d'environ 25 à 30 minutes. Il a été écrit pour un orchestre symphonique, un chœur et un solo de violon et violoncelle.
\n\tL'ambiance générale est très lyrique et le public reconnaîtra aisément l'univers sonore de James Horner déjà rencontré au cours de ses partitions les plus connues. C'est juste un superbe et magnifique concerto !<\/span><\/span>\n<\/div>\n

\n\tEst ce que les parties soli seront mises en avant par rapport à l'orchestre ou ce sera plus une combinaison des deux ?<\/span><\/strong>\n<\/div>\n
\n\tCela sera une combinaison des deux. Les lignes mélodiques étant tellement étroitement liées qu'il ne devrait pas être possible de dissocier les soli de la phrase organique. Nous le savons, parce que nous avons déjà eu quelques ateliers avec James Horner à Londres.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/div>\n
\n\t \n<\/div>\n
\n\tEst ce que les répétitions jusqu'en novembre sont déjà planifiées ? A quelle rythme se feront-elles ?<\/span><\/strong>\n<\/div>\n
\n\tOui les répétitions ont déjà commencé à Londres. Celles avec les choeurs débuteront en août, puis <\/span><\/span>en octobre <\/span><\/span>avec l'orchestre, le Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra. La semaine précédent la première mondiale sera la plus intense.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/div>\n

\n\tLes premières mondiales de Pas de Deux<\/strong> auront lieu le 13 et 14 novembre 2014 au Philharmonic Hall de<\/span> Liverpool. L'orchestre sera dirigé par Vasily Petrenko. Un des concerts sera retransmis sur la radio britannique Classic FM. Un album édité par Mercury Classics est prévu pour le printemps 2015. <\/span><\/span>\n<\/div>\n
