LIVING IN THE AGE OF AIRPLANES: SPECIAL FEATURE WITH JAMES HORNER AND NEW EXCERPTS

The official page of the film Living In the Age of Airplanes has released a 4-minute video showing the film's world premiere, which took place in April 2015 on board an Airbus.
In our previous article where we shared our first impressions of the film and its music, we already mentioned that this video will be on the DVD/Blu-ray.
The video provides a great introduction to James Horner and his music. We can hear unreleased excerpts. There are only 10 days before the publication of the album in digital format on iTunes.

  1. How lovely to see James and hear James be so happy. And how tragic to see the end piece, brings it all home what everyone lost on that dreadful day in June last year. Thank you for another story for us to treasure JHFM. Pamela.

  2. Is this it? Is this really the last we’ll hear of any new scores from Horner? It doesn’t seem like it. It still feels wrong, like he should still be here. I can’t fathom what the future holds, a future without him without new soundtracks,. Sure we have the amazing ones he wrote in the past and all the extended releases and rereleases of his music, but I’ll miss having the anticipation of hearing a new score from him. I’ve enjoyed the last 12-13 years od my life where I can look forward to hearing a new score, now it’s different. Yes I listen to Giacchino and Elfman and I look forward to their scores as well but they don’t have the actual heart that I hear when listening to James’s music and it’s something I’ll miss so much.

  3. Hi Zoe, I agree with the whole of your comments-it just doesn’t seem possible that this is the last. I’m still hoping for Romeo and Juliet, as it was recorded. Plus another selection like from Collage would be nice. I think you possibly are a lot younger than me and live the other side of the world to me, yet we think and feel the same. PamelU342r

    1. I am about 48 years younger than James to the date and I’m in America. I also hope something like Collage or maybe Romeo and Juliet will be released for us.
