PAS DE DEUX: VIDEO, EXCERPTS AND 10 CDS TO WIN

Pas De Deux, the album of Håkon & Mari Samuelsen published by Mercury Classics will be available on May 11 in Norway and worldwide on May 25.
Content of this album: the double concerto for violin, cello and orchestra composed by James Horner especially for the two Norwegian musicians. The work was performed for the first time in November 2014, to mark the 175th concert of the Royal Liverpool Orchestra, conducted by Vasily Petrenko (see our articles).

"I've always maintained that Maestro Horner is a truly masterful composer. I bet you'll agree that this work confirms that."
Ron Howard (source: Mercury Classics)
The album also features three other celebrated contemporary composers; the meditative Fratres by Arvo Pärt, the rhapsodic Violoncelles, vibrez! by Giovanni Sollima (with cellist Alisa Weilerstein) and the minimalist smash-hit Divenire by Ludovico Einaudi.
