TITANIC LIVE: JAMES HORNER IN LUCERNE

To our great surprise, James Horner will conduct the first concerts in Lucerne. He is accompanied by Simon Rhodes, Simon Franglen, Sissel, and Tony Hinnigan.  Over 150 musicians (21st Century Symphony Orchestra) will perform James Horner’s renowned score and period classics from 1912, played by the legendary ensemble, I Salonisti. For an unforgettable experience, The Lucerne Boys Choir and the Luzerner Mädchenchor (Lucerne Girls Choir) will interpret the choir part. These concerts of March 13th, 14th and 15th are SOLD OUT.

James Horner was initially announced to conduct only the London concert, but these concerts in Lucerne are the true world premiere of Titanic Live and it’s a good way to prepare for the planned April 27 concert. In the rehearsal photos, we can see behind James Horner the orchestra conductor, Ludwig Wicki, who will lead the other concerts planned in Lucerne in May. Other dates in Europe will be conducted by the American composer, Justin Freer.

Note: Sissel will only perform at the two first venues: Lucerne (13.-15th March) and Royal Albert Hall, London (27th April). She will be replaced for other dates by Clara Sanabras who worked with James Horner on For Greater Glory.
